Ultralow detection limit of giant magnetoresistance biosensor using Fe3O4–graphene composite nanoparticle label

A special Fe_3O_4nanoparticles–graphene(Fe_3O_4–GN) composite as a magnetic label was employed for biodetection using giant magnetoresistance(GMR) sensors with a Wheatstone bridge. The Fe_3O_4–GN composite exhibits a strong ferromagnetic behavior with the saturation magnetization M_S of approximately 48 emu/g, coercivity H_C of 200 Oe, and remanence M_r of 8.3 emu/g, leading to a large magnetic fringing field. However, the Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles do not aggregate together, which can be attributed to the pinning and separating effects of graphene sheet to the magnetic particles. The Fe_3O_4–GN composite is especially suitable for biodetection as a promising magnetic label since it combines two advantages of large fringing field and no aggregation. As a result, the concentration x dependence of voltage difference |?V| between detecting and reference sensors undergoes the relationship of |?V| = 240.5 lgx + 515.2 with an ultralow detection limit of 10 ng/mL(very close to the calculated limit of 7 ng/mL) and a wide detection range of 4 orders.

Ultrahigh frequency tunability of aperture-coupled microstrip antenna via electric-field tunable BST

A composite ceramic with nominal composition of 45.0 wt%(Ba0.5Sr0.5)TiO3–55.0 wt%MgO(acronym is BST–Mg O) is sintered for fabricating a frequency reconfigurable aperture-coupled microstrip antenna. The calcined BST–Mg O composite ceramic exhibits good microwave dielectric properties at X-band with appropriate dielectric constant εr around85, lower dielectric loss tan δ about 0.01, and higher permittivity tunability 14.8% at 8.33 k V/cm. An ultrahigh E-field tunability of working frequency up to 11.0%(i.e., from 9.1 GHz to 10.1 GHz with a large frequency shift of 1000 MHz)at a DC bias field from 0 to 8.33 k V/cm and a considerably large center gain over 7.5 d B are obtained in the designed frequency reconfigurable microstrip antenna. These results demonstrate that BST materials are promising for the frequency reconfigurable antenna.

Microwave ferromagnetic properties of as-deposited Co_2FeSi Heusler alloy films prepared by oblique sputtering被引量:1

The Co2 FeSi films are deposited on Si(100) substrates by an oblique sputtering method at ambient temperature. It is revealed that the microwave ferromagnetic properties of Co2 FeSi films are sensitive to sample position and sputtering power. It is exciting that the as-deposited films without any magnetic annealing exhibit high in-plane uniaxial anisotropy fields in a range of 200 Oe–330 Oe(1 Oe = 79.5775 A·m-1), and low coercivities in a range of 5 Oe–28 Oe. As a result,high self-biased ferromagnetic resonance frequency up to 4.75 GHz is achieved in as-deposited oblique sputtered films.These results indicate that Co2 FeSi Heusler alloy films are promising in practical applications of RF/microwave devices.

Enhancement of ferromagnetic resonance in Al_2O_3-doped Co_2FeAl Heusler alloy film prepared by oblique sputtering被引量:2

Large and variable in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in a nanocrystalline(Co2FeAl)97.8(Al2O3)2.2soft magnetic thin film is obtained by an oblique sputtering method without being induced by magnetic field or post annealing. The in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy varies from 50 Oe to 180 Oe(1 Oe = 79.5775 A·m-1) by adjusting the sample's position. As a result, the ferromagnetic resonance frequency of the film increases from 1.9 GHz to 3.75 GHz.

Si元素的添加对Ni_(43)Mn_(46)Sn_(11)合金磁热效应的影响

通过对合金Ni43Mn46Sn11Six(x=0.0,0.1,0.2,0.3)磁热效应的研究,发现随着Si含量增加,合金的转变温度(TM)从187 K降到160K,合金的磁熵变也略微减小。在外场变化为3 T时,随着x的增加,合金的磁熵变分别为28.7,24.7,26.1和23.3 J.kg-·1K-1。此外,还利用连续和不连续降温两种方法对Ni43Mn46Sn11Six合金的等温磁化曲线进行了测量。发现两种测量方法测量的磁熵变值存在较大的差异,例如,对x=0的样品,在外场变化为3 T时,连续和不连续降温测量方法算得的磁熵变分别为28.74和38.56 J·kg-·1K-1。
