A new complex [Co(NIT-1′-MeBzIm)2Cl2](NIT-1′-MeBzIm = 2-{2′-[(l′-methyl)-benzimidazolyl]}-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) has been prepared and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction method.The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system,space group C2/c,Z = 4.Crystal data:C30H38Cl2CoN8O4,Mr = 704.51,a = 17.074(3),b = 21.350(3),c = 11.6962(19),β = 108.879(2)°,V = 4034.3(11)3,Dc = 1.160 g/cm3,μ(MoKα) = 0.597 mm-1,F(000) = 1468,R = 0.0422 and wR = 0.1141 for 2577 observed reflections with I 2σ(I).X-ray analysis reveals that the Co(Ⅱ) ion is six-coordinated with a distorted octahedral geometry.Temperature dependence of susceptibility measurements shows the existence of antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co(Ⅱ) ion and the radicals(J =-52.88 cm-1).
A new one-dimensional aluminum fluorophosphate, AlP2O5(OH)3F·0.5[H2dien] (dien=diethylenetriamine), was solvothermally synthesized by using organic amine as the structure directing agent, and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex inorganic architecture consists of trans-corner-sharing AlO4F2 octahedra chain decorated by phosphate tetrahedra along both sides of the -F-Al-F-Al-F- backbone displaying a series of Al2P three-membered rings, which will represent a new fundamental structural type in metal phosphates. The results of CHN elemental analysis, EDS, and TGA are also presented. Crystal data: C4H18Al2F2N3O16P4, monoclinic, space group P21/c with a=6.9107(14), b=15.749(3), c=8.9741(18) , β=109.829(2)o, V=918.8(3) 3, Z=2, Mr=580.05, Dc=2.097 g/cm3, μ=0.618 mm-1, S=1.022, F(000)=590, the final R=0.0510 and wR=0.1284 for 1607 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)).
A new cadmium(II) polymer based on imidazole derivative, formulated as [Cd(Hiba)2]n 1, H2iba = 4-(1-H-imidazol-2-yl) benzoic acid), has been synthesized under hydro- thermal conditions. The compound crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 7.062(4), b = 10.840(7), c = 13.099(8) A, a = 98.102(7), fl = 101.524(7), y = I07.961(7)°, V= 912.3(10) A3, Z = 2, Mr = 486.75, Dc = 1.772 Mg/m3,/t = 1.234 mm-1, F(000) = 484, the final R = 0.0735 and wR = 0.1739 for 2154 observed reflections with 1 〉 20(I). Polymer 1 consists of (Cd-Hiba)2 zigzag chains, which are further linked by hydrogen bonding to extend into a two-dimensional (2D) corrugated-shape sheet structure. The 2D structures are further connected into a 3D supramolecular edifice through hydrogen bonding. The polymer exhibits exceptional high thermal stability. The bulk purity of the materials of 1 was confirmed through the powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns. The luminescent property of polymer I has also been investigated.
A novel azide-bridged copper(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, [Cu3(NITpPy)4(N3)6]n (NITpPy = 4-pyridyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazline-3-oxide-1-oxyl), was structurally and magnetically characterized. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with a = 7.6932(10), b = 14.5556(19), c = 16.122(2) , α = 108.443(2), β = 95.251(2), γ = 104.236(2)°, V = 1631.7(4) 3, C48H64Cu3N30O8, Mr = 1379.87, Z = 1, Dc = 1.404 g/cm3, μ(MoKα) = 1.041 mm-1, F(000) = 713, the R = 0.0510 and wR = 0.1185 for 4285 observed reflections with I 2σ(I). X-ray analysis reveals that the Cu(Ⅱ) ions are linked by nitrogen atom of μ1,1 azido ligands to form a Cu-Cu-Cu unit. The units are linked by μ1,3 azido ligands through a bridging style to form a one-dimensional coordination polymer. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data of the complex show ferromagnetic interactions in the complex.
