Synthesis, characterization and thermostability of barium β-diketonate with tetraethylenepentamine ligand

The metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) technique is a promising process for high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O7-δ(YBCO) preparation. In this technique, it is a challenge to obtain barium precursors with high volatility. In addition, the purity, evaporation characteristics and thermostability of adopted precursors in the whole process would decide the quality and reproducible results of YBCO film. In the present report, the barium precursor containing 2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dionate and tetraethylenepentamine ligands (Ba(TMHD)-tetraen) was synthesized and identified by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and ESI-MS spectroscopy. Subsequently the thermal property and the kinetics of decomposition were systematically investigated by combining non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis methods (TGA), Ozawa, Kissinger and Friedman methods. On the basis of the apparent activation energy of the evaporation process, the thermostability and evaporation characteristics of the precursors were discussed. All results show that Ba(TMHD)-tetraen has higher volatility than Ba(TMHD)2, but it is unstable and highly sensitive to the change of temperature during the whole evaporation process. Therefore, it is very important to choose suitable volatilization technology and conditions for avoiding Ba(TMHD)-tetraen breakdown (or thermal aging) during the MOCVD process.

Morphological evolution of CdS films prepared by chemical bath deposition被引量:3

In this article, the growth process of chemical bath deposited CdS films was systematically investigated. The structural, optical, and morphological properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), UV-Vis spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. CdS nanocubes with size of less than 500 nm and nanocrystal-lites with diameter of less than 5 nm forming in reaction solution are observed. According to the TEM results and the SEM morphological evolution of CdS films, a crystal-lite-by-crystallite growth mechanism is proposed to eluci-date the growth process of chemical bath deposited CdS films based on the present growth mechanism.

沉积温度对化学水浴法CdS薄膜物理性质的影响

研究了化学水浴法制备的CdS薄膜微观结构与其带隙宽度的关系。采用台阶仪、X射线衍射仪(XRD)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)、分光光度计、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、原子力显微镜(AFM)和能谱仪(EDS)等对不同沉积温度下制备的CdS薄膜的生长速率、晶体结构、光学性质、表面形貌和薄膜组分及其相互间关系进行了研究。随着沉积温度升高,薄膜沉积速率变快,H(002)晶面间距相应增加,带隙宽度逐渐下降。同时CdS薄膜的表面变得更为光滑。结合能谱分析发现,随着沉积温度上升,CdS薄膜的中硫的含量相应增加,薄膜中Cd/S原子比例更加接近于1∶1。CdS薄膜晶格常数的增加造成了带隙宽度的下降。而晶格常数的变化则归因于沉积温度的变化对薄膜中硫的含量的影响。沉积温度上升会促进OH-离子与硫脲的反应,加速S2-离子的释放,从而导致溶液中S2-离子浓度上升。在CdS薄膜的生长过程中会有更多硫进入到薄膜中,使得薄膜中的硫空位减少。而硫空位的减少会使薄膜晶体结构更加完整,导致晶格常数上升,更加接近于体材料的晶格常数。

阳离子交换法制备稳定的近红外区核/壳型PbS/CdS量子点被引量:1

硫化铅量子点(PbS QDs)的光氧化稳定性差是其应用于太阳能电池等领域的主要限制因素之一.采用阳离子交换法在合成的PbS量子点表面包裹一层具有更稳定、更大禁带宽度的硫化镉(CdS)壳层,制备出稳定的核/壳型PbS/CdS量子点;同时,研究了反应温度和反应时间对阳离子交换过程的影响规律.通过透射电子显微镜和高分辨透射电子显微镜(TEM/HRTEM)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)、吸收光谱和荧光光谱考察了所制备PbS/CdS量子点的结构、光学特性和光氧化稳定性.结果表明:阳离子交换过程中,离子交换反应程度有限、仅发生在量子点的表面层,但极薄的CdS壳层已能有效钝化PbS量子点的表面缺陷、显著提高其光氧化稳定性.

Subsequently, the thermal properties and the kinetics of decomposition were systemati- cally investigated by nonisothermal thermogravimetric anal- ysis methods. Based on the average apparent activation energy evaluated by the Ozawa, Kissinger, and Friedman methods, the volatilization process was discussed, and all results show that Ba(TMHD)2 is unstable and highly sensitive to the change of temperature during the whole evaporation process. There- fore, it is very important to choose suitable volatilization technology and conditions for avoiding Ba(TMHD)2 break- down (or thermal aging) during MOCVD process. Subse- quently, the possible conversion function is estimated through the Coats-Redfern method to characterize the evaporation patterns and follows a phase boundary reaction mechanism by the contracting surface equation with average activation energy of 118.7 kJ.mo1-1.

化学水浴法是目前制备CdS薄膜的主流方法之一,其中对溶液实施不同的溶液激发方式会对薄膜的性能产生很大影响。采用4种不同的溶液激发方式:搅拌法、静置法、超声法、摇晃法以化学水浴法沉积了CdS薄膜。采用台阶仪、X射线衍射仪、扫描电子显微镜和原子力显微镜等系统地研究了这4种不同的溶液激发方式对CdS薄膜的生长速度、晶体结构与表面形貌的影响。实验结果表明,随着沉积时间增加,CdS薄膜的厚度都会逐渐增加并最终趋于一恒定值。搅拌法与摇晃法制备的CdS薄膜具有更快的生长速度、更大的颗粒尺寸以及更加粗糙的表面形貌。采用静置法沉积薄膜在沉积时间较短时,薄膜表面存在大面积的由尺寸12 nm的小颗粒构成的区域。随着沉积时间增加,该区域面积逐渐减小进而消失。通过对薄膜表面形貌随沉积时间增加的演化过程的研究,在一定浓度下CdS薄膜的生长是离子-离子生长机制。通过对比不同溶液激发方式沉积的CdS薄膜的表面形貌,分析了不同溶液激发方式对CdS薄膜形貌的影响。

In the present report, tris(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionato)yttrium(III) (Y(TMHD)3) was synthesized by the interaction of yttrium nitrate hydrate with TMHD in methanol solution, and its structure was identified by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and EI-MS spectroscopy. Subsequently, the thermal property and the kinetics of decomposition were system- atically investigated by non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis methods (TGA) at different heating rates in streams of N2, and the average apparent activation energy of evaporation process was evaluated by the Ozawa, Kissinger and Friedman methods. The possible conversion function was estimated through the Coats-Redfern method to characterize the evaporation patterns and followed a phase boundary reaction mechanism by the contracting area equation with average activation energy of 88.9 kJ/mol.

Growth mechanism of CdS film prepared by chemical bath deposition被引量:2

In this paper, sodium citrate was adopted as a complexing agent and ammonia merely served as pH adjustor to investigate the growth mechanism of CdS film The growth rate, structural properties, surface morphology microstructure, and optical properties of CdS films were studied by profilometer, X-ray diffractometer(XRD)scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission elec tron microscopy(TEM), and spectrophotometer, respec tively. The SEM images show that CdS films prepared with higher ammonia concentration have lower nucleation density on substrate. SEM and EDS results show that the formation of Cd(OH)2is not required in the growth of CdS film. As the ammonia concentration increases, the sites tha previously adsorbed S2-are taken by OH-which leads to lower S2-density on substrate. CdS film forms through direct reaction of Cd2?with the S2-which are adsorbed on the substrate. Lower S2-density on the substrate results in the decrease of particle density on the substrate. The as deposited CdS films have relatively high-average trans mittance(*80 %) in the wavelength range from 500 to1,000 nm which makes them suitable to be used in sola cell.

Owing to the adaptability to large scale processing,excellent composition control and film uniformity,the metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) technique is a promising process for high-temperature superconductor YBa;Cu;O;(YBCO) preparation.In this technique,the evaporation characteristics and thermostability of adopted precursors in whole process will decide the quality and reproducible results of YBCO film.In the present report,bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionato)copper(II)(Cu(TMHD);) was synthesized by the interaction of copper acetate hydrate with TMHD in methanol solution,and its structure was identified by FTIR,1 H NMR,and EI-MS spectroscopy.Subsequently,thermal property and the kinetics of decomposition were systematically investigated by nonisothermal thermogravimetric analysis methods(TGA) at different heating rates in streams of N;,and the average apparent activation energy of evaporation process was evaluated by the Ozawa,Kissinger,and Friedman methods.The possible conversion function was estimated through the Coats-Redfern method to characterize the evaporation patterns and followed a phase boundary reaction mechanism by the contracting area equation with average activation energy of 85.1 kJ·mol;.
