激光线宽对单次通过PPMgO:LN晶体倍频效率的影响被引量:4

通过单次穿过PPMgO:LN晶体产生了2.06 W的780 nm可调谐的连续倍频光.采用1560 nm的分布反馈式(DFB)半导体激光器、光栅外腔半导体激光器(ECDL)和分布反馈式掺铒光纤激光器(DFB-EDFL)分别作为掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)的注入光源,所用的EDFA具有保持窄线宽的功能,因此可以忽略它对基波线宽的展宽.研究了激光线宽对单次通过PPMg O:LN晶体的倍频效率的影响.控制三台激光器各自注入EDFA的功率一致,同时也保持EDFA的输出功率.在基波功率为12.42 W时,使用DFB半导体激光器注入EDFA时得到了1.36 W的780 nm倍频光输出,转换效率为11.0%;使用ECDL作为种子源时得到了1.78 W的780 nm倍频光输出,转换效率为14.3%;使用DFB-EDFL作为种子源时得到了2.06 W的780 nm倍频光输出,转换效率为16.6%.测得三台种子激光器的线宽分别为1.2 MHz(DFB),200 k Hz(ECDL)和600 Hz(DFB-EDFL).线宽越窄,倍频效率越高,实验结果与理论分析一致.

基于微型光学偶极阱中单个铯原子俘获与操控的852 nm触发式单光子源

基于单原子操控的单光子源具有窄带宽、可与同类原子吸收线匹配、基本不受外界环境因素的影响等特点,在量子光学基本问题研究及量子信息处理等方面具有重要价值.本文研究了强聚焦1064 nm基模高斯光束形成的光学偶极阱中铯原子6S_(1/2)|F_g=4,mF=+4>-6P_(3/2)|F_e=5,m_F=+5>循环跃迁的光频移,并在实验上进行了测量.基于共振脉冲光激发俘获在远失谐微型光学偶极阱中的单个铯原子,实验演示了10 MHz重复频率的触发式852 nm单光子源.采用基于单光子探测器的Hanbry Brown-Twiss实验系统,对单光子源的二阶相干度进行了测量,零延时处符合计数值为0.09,实验显示单光子源呈现显著的光子反群聚特性.

Two-color cesium magneto-optical trap with a ladder-type atomic system

We demonstrate a magneto-optical trap(MOT) with counter-propagating two-color cooling b('ams in a cesium6S1/2 — 6P3/2 — 8S!/2(852.3 + 794.6 nm) atomic system. Based on the conventional MOT due entirely to the852.3 nm cooling laser5 s scattering forces, we replace one of the six 852.3 inn cooling beams witli a 794.6 11111 cooling beam. Our two-color MOT can efficiently cool and trap atoms from the red to blue detuning sides of two-photon resonance without pre-cooling. The technique is promising for the direct generation of correlated photon pairs in a two-color MOT based on diamond-configuration four-wave mixing.

采用高信噪比电磁诱导透明谱测定85Rb原子5D5/2态的超精细相互作用常数

基于^(85)Rb原子5S1/2-5P3/2-5D_(5/2)阶梯型能级系统(780 nm+776 nm),利用高信噪比的电磁诱导透明谱对^(85)Rb原子5D_(5/2)态超精细分裂进行测量.其中,频率校准是通过位相型电光调制器和共焦法布里-珀罗腔共同实现的.通过测量^(85)Rb原子5D′5/2态(F′=5),(F′′=4)及(F′′=3)之间的超精细分裂,我们确定了^(85)Rb原子5D_(5/2)态的磁偶极超精细相互作用常数(A=-(2.222±0.019)MHz)和电四极超精细相互作用常数(B=(2.664±0.130)MHz).

利用蓝失谐激光诱导微型光学偶极阱中冷原子间的光助碰撞提高单原子制备概率

借助于微米尺度的远失谐光学偶极阱(FORT)中蓝失谐光的光助碰撞效应与反馈控制系统,文章在实验上实现了FORT中单个原子的高效制备.结合原子的势能曲线,分析了原子在红失谐光和蓝失谐光作用下的光助碰撞效应,并且在实验上得到红失谐光诱导下单原子的制备概率约50%,蓝失谐光诱导下单原子的制备概率约80%.通过反馈控制系统,当原子数目小于1时,反馈控制使磁场梯度减小以快速俘获原子,当原子数目大于1时,反馈控制开启蓝失谐光场,使得原子一个个逃逸出阱中,最终实现了FORT中单原子的制备概率约95%,为下一步偶极阱的二维扩展奠定了基础.通过HBT实验测量FORT中单原子发出光子的统计特性,得到二阶相干度g(2)(τ=0)=0.08.

Efficient loading of a single neutral atom into an optical microscopic tweezer

A single atom in a magneto–optical trap(MOT) with trap size(hundreds of micrometers) can be transferred into an optical microscopic tweezer with a probability of ~100%. The ability to transfer a single atom into two traps back and forth allows us to study the loading process. The loading probability is found to be insensitive to the geometric overlap of the MOT and the tweezer. It is therefore possible to perform simultaneously loading of a single atom into all sites of the tweezer array for many qubits. In particular, we present a simulation of the one-dimensional and two-dimensional arrays of an optical microscopic tweezer. We find the same qualitative behavior for all of the trap parameters.

Efficient frequency doubling of a telecom 1560 nm laser in a waveguide and frequency stabilization to Rb D_2 line被引量:1

We experimentally demonstrate efficient frequency doubling of a telecom 1560 nm distributed feedback diode laser with a 3 cm long Mg O:PPLN waveguide with a conversion coefficient of 114%/W. We investigate optical inhomogeneities by measuring the quasi-phase-matching temperature curve. The ~2.7 m W of second- harmonic power at 780 nm is sufficient to detect the Rb D2 features using modulation transfer spectroscopy. The laser frequency is locked to a hyperfine transition of Rb D2 line and typical residual frequency fluctuation of ±86 k Hz(rms) is achieved within 30 min. Our experimental scheme can be used for realizing robust, compact, and highly accurate Rb stabilized 1560 nm laser systems for fiber-optic communication applications.

磁光阱中单原子荧光信号的优化及单原子的高效装载被引量:5

实验中首先通过增大四极磁场梯度、提高背景真空度、缩小冷却俘获激光光束直径的方法获得了磁光阱中单原子的装载.其次,通过减小冷却光失谐量、适当增加其光强、同时使用偏振光谱锁频技术抑制冷却光噪声的方法得到了磁光阱中高信号背景比的单原子荧光信号.此外,通过实时反馈控制磁光阱四极磁场梯度的方法,在实验中实现了单原子98%的装载概率.使用Hamburg Brown-Twiss方案测量了磁光阱中的单原子在连续光激发下所辐射荧光的光子统计特性,得到二阶关联度g(2)(τ=0)=0.09.

Deterministic loading of an individual atom:Towards scalable implementation of multi-qubit

We report the realization of a deterministic single-atom preparation by the method of all-optical feedback. Using a fast-real-time feedback, the light-induced atom desorption effect and blue detuned light-induced atom collision process can increase a success probability of single-atom preparation up to more than 99%. We investigate the dynamics of loading single atom trapped in a trap with a size of hundreds of micrometers into a pair of microscopic tweezers. The detailed experimental results show that the feedback loading is spatially insensitive, which implies that it is possible to use the feedback protocol to simultaneously implement the loading of large number of qubits arrays.

Characterizing passive coherent population trapping resonance in a cesium vapor cell filled with neon buffer gas被引量:1

We present a pair of phase-locked lasers with a 9.2-GHz frequency difference through the injection locking of a master laser to the RF-modulation sideband of a slave diode laser. Using this laser system, a coherent population trapping (CPT) signal with a typical linewidth of ~ 182 Hz is obtained in a cesium vapor cell filled with 30 Torr (4kPa) of neon as the buffer gas. We investigate the influence of the partial pressure of the neon buffer gas on the CPT linewidth, amplitude, and frequency shift. The results may offer some references for CPT atomic clocks and CPT atomic magnetometers.
