激光脉冲作用下囚禁离子在Lamb-Dicke区域精确的量子运动被引量:1

研究驻波型激光脉冲作用下,囚禁于Paul阱中的单离子在Lamb-Dicke区域的久期运动.通过试探解方法,得到系统的量子力学精确解.基于精确解描述的概率波包串,发现:1)波包串中心以及波包串的高度和宽度受激光脉冲强度的控制,通过调节激光强度可以控制波包串的形变和传播;2)在激光脉冲作用瞬间,离子的能量期待值发生跳变,而在激光关闭时段,有窄的能带形成;3)存在一个激光脉冲强度的临界值,在临界点附近,系统的稳定性发生变化.

Chaotic matter shock wave of an open system

We investigate a one-dimensional open Bose-Einstein condensate with attractive interaction,by considering the effect of feeding from nonequilibrium thermal cloud and applying the time-periodic inverted-harmonic potential.Using the direct perturbation method and the exact shock wave solution of the stationary Gross-Pitaevskii equation,we obtain the chaotic perturbed solution and the Melnikov chaotic regions.Based on the analytical and the numerical methods,the influence of the feeding strength on the chaotic motion is revealed.It is shown that the chaotic regions could be enlarged by reducing the feeding strength and the increase of feeding strength plays a role in suppressing chaos.In the case of "nonpropagated" shock wave with fixed boundary,the number of condensed atoms increases faster as the feeding strength increases.However,for the free boundary the metastable shock wave with fixed front density oscillates its front position and atomic number aperiodically,and their amplitudes decay with the increase of the feeding strength.

Variational-integral perturbation corrections of some lower excited states for hydrogen atoms in magnetic fields

A variational-integral perturbation method(VIPM) is established by combining the variational perturbation with the integral perturbation.The first-order corrected wave functions are constructed,and the second-order energy corrections for the ground state and several lower excited states are calculated by applying the VIPM to the hydrogen atom in a strong uniform magnetic field.Our calculations demonstrated that the energy calculated by the VIPM only shows a negative value,which indicates that the VIPM method is more accurate than the other methods.Our study indicated that the VIPM can not only increase the accuracy of the results but also keep the convergence of the wave functions.

Large-scale cluster state generation with nuclear spins in diamonds

The cluster state is an indispensable resource for one-way quantum computing (1WQC).We propose a practical scheme for constructing cluster states among nuclear spins in nitrogen-vacancy defect centres (NV centres) in different diamonds.The entanglement of nuclear spins within an NV centre is made by hyperfine coupling via electron spin,and the entanglement between remote NV centres is accomplished using the parity projection of emitted photons.We discus the possibility to build large-scale nuclear-spin cluster states with diamonds.
