We propose that nanomaterials are used for fibers.A novel nano-InP doped fiber has been fabricated by the method of modified chemical vapor deposition(MCVD).It has been measured that the doping concentration of phosphorus element is 0.1%.The relationship between refractive index and the wavelength is obtained by fitting experimental data to Sellmeier equation.Dispersion of the fiber has been calculated in the wavelength range of 1.2-1.6 μm.As the wavelength varies from 1.20 μm to 1.60 μm,dispersion paramete...
We experimentally demonstrate amplitude squeezed soliton utilizing intensity-dependent self-phase modulation in an asymmetric Sagnac interferometer. The system, whose components are connected via ferrule connector/physical connection (FC/PC) fiber connectors, constitutes all-fiber configuration to generate squeezed soliton. Soliton amplitude reduction measured by homodyne detection is near 4.0 dB below the shot-noise level. Optimal squeezing fields in both simple and compact all-fiber configuration are obtained.

There are prominent nonlinear characteristics that we hope for the semiconductor nano-clusters doped fiber. Refractive index of fiber core can be effectively changed by adulteration. This technology can provide a new method for developing photons components. Because the semiconductor nano-cluster has quantum characteristics, Based on first-order perturba- tion theory and classical theory of fiber, we deduced refractive index expressions of fiber core, which was semiconductor nano-cluster doped fiber. Finally, third-order nonlinear coefficient equation was gained. Using this equation, we calculated SMF-28 fiber nonlinear coefficient. The equation shows that new third-order coefficient was greater.
