Carthamus tinctorius L. is a kind of Chinese traditional and herbal drugs. Polysaccharides as effective ingredients have extensive pharmaceutic values especially as the immune regulators. CTP is the water soluble polysaccharide isolated from the Carthamus tinctorius L.. By means of HPLC, partial hydrolysis with acid, periodate oxidation, Smith degradation, GC, methylation and GC-MS analysis, {}+{13}C NMR spectroscopy, the structure of CTP was identified. CTP is a kind of small molecular weight polysaccharide with many branches. The main chain of CTP is made up of(1→4)-linked-Glc with five side chains. They are(1→3,6), (1→6), (1→)-linked-Gal, (1→2)-linked-Glc, (1→6), (1→)-linked-Glc, and two(1→6)-linked-Glc respectively.
从猴头发酵菌丝体水提后残渣中用碱提出了水溶性粗多糖,对其分级纯化得到纯样HPP,SepharoseCL-6B柱层析测得其相对分子质量约为6 53×104,G C 分析表明,其单糖组成为Glc;经部分酸水解、高碘酸氧化、Smith降解和甲基化分析确定此多糖为多分枝结构,其中(1→6)Glc构成主链的核心结构;分支点为O-3;支链部分由(1→3)Glc构成,并连接一端基Glc.
A water soluble polysaccharide (HPⅠ) was isolated from the Hericium caput-medusae and examined homogenously by Sephadex G-100 column chromatography,cellulose acetate film electrophoresis and specific optical rotation measurement. This HPⅠconsists of Fuc,Glc and Gal in the molar ratios of 0.423∶1∶2.110. Its structural features were investigated by methylation and GC-MS analysis,periodate oxidation-Smith degradation,and partial acid-hydrolysis. In addition, enzymatic degradation experiments and GC analysis were applied. The following structure of the highly branched repeating unit was established: 6→)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→6)-Gal-(1→ 2 ↑ 1 2 ↑ 1 2 ↑ 1 Gal-(1→4)-Fuc Glc-(1→3)-Glc 2 Gal-(1→6)-Glc 3 The activities of HPⅠwere tested in mice. All the samples exhibited high effect of prevention and cure against chronic gastricism.
