东亚一次典型切断低压引起的平流层空气深入侵过程的分析被引量:4

利用ERA-Interim再分析资料、卫星资料以及轨迹模式,对2010年6月19-23日东亚夏季一次典型切断低压(COL)过程中的动力、热力及化学结构进行了分析,并详细分析了平流层空气深入侵过程和路径.AIRS臭氧资料与臭氧探空资料分析表明,在COL发展成熟阶段,由极区高位势涡度、高臭氧库区脱离出来的空气在COL的中心形成一个局地高位势涡度与高臭氧浓度区域,并在对流层中上部出现臭氧次峰结构.前向轨迹模式模拟结果表明:COL形成前期,高空槽加深,槽后偏北风急流可以引起极区下平流层空气向中纬度对流层中低层侵入,从而使对流层中低层臭氧浓度升高;COL发展成熟阶段,可以引起平流层空气的"旋转式"入侵.最后,应用后向轨迹模式对成熟阶段COL内部及周围空气块源地做进一步模拟分析.结果表明:(1)COL中心高浓度臭氧空气块源地有两个,一是中西伯利亚北部上空的副极地涡旋,这部分气块对COL中心的高臭氧浓度起主要作用;二是90°E以西,50°N附近的温带急流轴左侧的气旋式风速切变区.(2)COL周围低臭氧浓度的气块源地也有两个,一是COL底部臭氧浓度相对较低的空气块主要来自急流轴右侧反气旋式风速切变区,以平流运动为主;二是COL前部及后部的空气块主要来自COL南侧低层暖区,以上升运动为主.

Observation of a Summer Tropopause Fold by Ozonesonde at Changchun,China:Comparison with Reanalysis and Model Simulation被引量:8

Tropopause folds are one of the key mechanisms of stratosphere–troposphere exchange(STE) in extratropical regions,transporting ozone-rich stratospheric air into the middle and lower troposphere. Although there have been many studies of tropopause folds that have occurred over Europe and North America,a very limited amount of work has been carried out over northeastern Asia. Ozonesondes produced by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics were launched in Changchun(43.9?N,125.2?E),Northeast China,in June 2013,and observed an ozone-enriched layer with thickness of 3 km and an ozone peak of180 ppbv at 6 km in the troposphere. The circulation field from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Interim Reanalysis(ERA-Interim) dataset shows that this ozone peak was caused by a tropopause fold associated with a jet stream at the eastern flank of the East Asian trough. By analyzing the ozone data from the ozone monitoring instrument and Weather Research and Forecasting model with Chemistry(WRF-Chem) simulations,it was found that a high ozone concentration tongue originating from the lower stratosphere at high latitude(near central Siberia) intruded into the middle troposphere over Changchun between 5 and 8 km on 12 June 2013. The high-resolution WRF-Chem simulation was capable of describing events such as the tropopause fold that occurred on the cyclonic shear side of the jet stream. In addition,the TRAJ3 D trajectory model was used to trace the origin of measured secondary ozone peaks in the middle troposphere back,for example,to stratospheric intrusion through the tropopause fold.

中国地区下平流层惯性重力波参数分布特征的资料分析被引量:7

重力波参数特征的确定是全球大气环流模式中平流层重力波参数化的一个重要环节,这些参数的选取需要根据观测资料来确定.本文根据中国地区南北向8个站点(自北向南依次为嫩江、锡林浩特、北京、郑州、南阳、宜昌、怀化和南宁,纬度范围为22°~49°N)两年多的垂直高分辨率无线电探空资料,分析了下平流层(18~25km)惯性重力波活动的季节变化及其随纬度的分布特征.主要结果有:(1)与全球其他地区一样,中国地区下平流层重力波能量具有明显的季节变化和经向分布特征:冬季大夏季小,且随着纬度增加而减小;纬向和经向速度扰动大小一致,表明重力波能量在水平方向上是各向同性的.(2)重力波垂直波长随纬度没有明显变化,集中在1~3km,占所有样本的85%以上,平均值约为2.0km;水平波长80%以上集中在100~800km,平均值约为450km,有随纬度增加而降低的趋势(南北水平波长相差达40km左右),水平波长与垂直波长之比大约为200:1,表明下平流层重力波基本上沿水平方向传播,垂直方向的夹角极小.(3)固有频率和科氏参数之比有随纬度增加而减小的特征,集中在1~2,平均值约为1.5.(4)重力波能量主要向上传播,各站点重力波上传频率均在60%以上;水平传播方向有比较显著的方向性,主要是东西方向传播且与盛行风向有关,但是该各向异性随着纬度的增加有所减弱.

A deep stratospheric intrusion associated with an intense cut-off low event over East Asia被引量:10

European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Re-Analysis Interim(ERA-Interim)reanalysis data and satellite data,and trajectory model were applied to analyze the dynamical,thermo-dynamical,and chemical structure in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere(UTLS)of an intense cut-off low(COL)event occurring over East Asia during June 19-23,2010,and to characterize the process and transport pathway of deep stratospheric intrusion.The Atmospheric Infrared Sounder(AIRS)ozone data and the Global Positioning System Ozone(GPSO3)sonde data showed that the air mass originating from the polar formed a region with relatively high values of potential vorticity(PV)and ozone in the center of COL,and a secondary ozone peak appeared in the upper troposphere during mature stage of the COL.Forward trajectory simulation suggested that during the first stage of COL,deep stratospheric intrusion associated with strong northerly wind jet on the west side of the upper-level trough transported ozone-rich air from the polar lower stratosphere into the middle and lower troposphere in the mid-latitude,and increased the ozone concentration there.During the mature stage of the COL,stratospheric air was transported counterclockwise into the troposphere.Backward trajectory model was used to find the source regions of air mass within the COL during its mature stage.Model results show that air masses with high ozone concentration in the center of the COL have two source regions:one is the subpolar vortex which lies in northern part of Center Siberia,where ozone-rich air plays a major role in increasing the ozone concentrations,and the other is the strong shear region which is near by the cyclonic side of the extratropical jet axis(west of 90°E,near 50°N).The air masses with low ozone concentration around the COL also have two source regions:one is the anticyclonic side of the extratropical jet axis,where the air mass with the relatively low ozone concentration at the bottom of the COL is mainly controlled by horizontal movement,and the
