The extraction behavior of N,N,N’,N’-tetrabutylglutaramide(TBGA)employing cyclohexane as diluent toward La(Ⅲ),Pr(Ⅲ),Gd(Ⅲ)and Er(Ⅲ) investigated. The effect of the concentrations of nitric acid, lithium nitrate and extractant and also the temperature on the extraction distribution ratio was studied. The stoichiometry of the extracted species was Found to be M(NO3)3·3TBGA(M=La,Pr,Gd,Er).The extraction mechanism was also discussed and the values of the enthalpy of extraction reaction was calculated.
The N,N,N’,N’-tetrabutsuccinylamide(TBSA) was synthesized and purified. The extractability of this diamide for Terbium(Ⅲ) has been studied. The effects of concentrations of nitric acid, extractant, and LiNO3 as well as the temperature influence on the extraction distribution ratios were investgated in detail. The apparent equilibrium constant of extraction has been determined to be(0.77±0.02)L6/mol6at 298K.The enthalpy of the extraction was -25.64kJ·mol-1.The composition of the extracted species was found to be Tb(NO3)3·3TBSA,which was characterized by IR spectromery.
The extraction of uranyl nitrate was studied with newly synthesized unsymmetrical alkylamides, N-methyl-N-octyloctylamide (MOOA), N-methyl-N-octyldecanamide (MODA), and N-methyl-N-octyldodecanamide (MODOA), employing n-octane as diluent. The effect of the concentrations of nitric acid, sodium nitrate and extractants on the extraction was investigated and the extraction mechanism was suggested. The effect of temperature on the extraction was also studied and the related thermodynamic functions were calculated. The extracted species were characterized by FTIR spectrometry.
