Language,culture and society play a decisive role when we communicate with others.And they provide a stage for communications,that means when we communicate with others,we should make use of some useful and suitable language,take notice of our culture,even the roles we play in this society.At the same time,we are also required to observe the CP in order to make our conversation move forward smoothly and successfully.But in reality,people seldom speak by always faithfully observing these four maxims of the CP in order to meet a certain communicative need.The article consists of five parts.Part one is introduction.Part two is explaining language,culture and society,and their relationship with communication.Part three is stating the Cooperative Principle in briefly.Part four serves as the main body of this article.It analyzes the violation of CP in language,culture and society with some examples in our communications.Part five concludes the whole article.
