Concrete is a kind of widely used structural and engineering material, and its compositions are very complex. Therefore, its physical and mechanical performances are also complicated and uncertain. The macro-level analysis, leaving out the complicated meso-level structure of concrete, can hardly be used to describe the deformations and cracking and set up the precise originally structural model. From the microscopic degree, microscopic mechanics sets up the relationship between the meso-level cracks/damages and macro-level mechanical performances and better reveals the effects that several factors have on the mechanical performances of concrete. In this paper, some study methods of mechanical performances of concrete based on micro-mechanics are introduced, and different models of numerical simulation of concrete on micro-level summarized and the advantages and disadvantages of lattice model, random particle model and random aggregate model, etc, are told. The problems still existing in this field are pointed out.
