Product and manufacturing process developments are knowledge intensive. For rapid product developments in today′s competitive global marketplace, we need tools to facilitate the effective utilization of critical design and manufacturing knowledge obtained during the previous product developments. The Internet technology has very rapidly evolved over past few years. The web is being increasingly used to support various activities of the pro duct development process. Java is a programming language that is highly tuned for the web environment. This paper is concerned with providing the solution of web based manufacturing process development. The architecture of web based application and the implementation of web based manufacturing process developer are discussed.
In this paper, a fitting method for arbitrary multivariate scattered data is presented.The method consists of uniforming the set of arbitrary 4dimensional scattered data byusing local weighted least square, evaluating the values of partial derivatives and minedpartial derivatives over the cube-gridded-points only by using those gridded-point data,followed by interpolating smoothly and quickly those gridded-point data. Good resultshave been gotten by computing several known functions.
A hidden line removal algorithm for bi parametric surfaces is presented and illustrated by some experimental results. The enclosure test is done using area coordinates. A technique of moving box of encirclement is presented. It is found that the algorithm is of general purpose, requires minimal computer storage, has high accuracy and simplicity, and is very easy to be implemented on a computer.
