A novel compound [(IBz)2Im](TCNQ) [(IBz)2Im=1,3-bis(4-iodobenzyl) imidazole cation, TCNQ-=7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethanide anion] was synthesized by the reaction of [(IBz)2Im]Br and LiTCNQ in CH3OH and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, space group P21/c with a=1.147 35(18) nm, b=2.028 1(3) nm, c=1.264 1(2) nm, β=104.73(0)°, V=2.666(65) nm3, Z=4, C29H19I2N6, Mr= 705.30, Dc=1.757 g·cm-3, R1=0.053 2 and wR2=0.111 2. The structure analysis shows that the anions are stacked into column with isolated π-dimers, and there is one type of TCNQ entries (TCNQ-), in agreement with the IR spectra analysis of the compound. The most prominent structural features are the completely segregated stacking columns of the TCNQ-anions and [(IBz)2Im]+ cations. CCDC: 759523.
The complex Ag(L)NO3 (1) L=1,5-bis(imidazol-1-yl)pentane was synthesized in ethanol and water, and characterized by elemental analysis and X-ray crystal structural analysis. The result shows that the complex crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21 / c with a=0.695 7(4) nm, b=0.988 7(4) nm, c=1.974 8(7) nm, β=91.934(19)°, V=1.357 5(10) nm3, Z=4, Dcalc=1.831 g·cm-3, F(000)=752, μ=1.50 cm-1, the final R=0.036 6, wR=0.091 0. The coordination environment of Ag髣 is nearly linear with two N atoms, and each L ligand links two Ag髣 atoms using its two imidazolyl N atoms to generate an infinite one-dimensional (1D) chain structure. The 1D chains are further connected by C-H.O hydrogen bonds to give a three-dimensional structure. CCDC: 609514.
A new di-Schiff base ligand, 1,2-bis(3′-pyridylmethyleneamino)ethane(L), was designed and its Ag(Ⅰ) complex[Ag 2(L) 2](CF 3SO 3) 2 was synthesized. The crystal structure analysis indicates that the complex crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group of C2/c with a=3.770 4(2) nm, b=0.797 90(10) nm, c=2.471 3(2) nm, β=101.840(10)°, V=7.276 5(12) nm 3, Z=8, D c=1.808 g/cm 3, \{F(000)=\}3 936, R=0.058 3, wR=0.076 6, (Δρ) max=0.657×10 3 e/nm 3,(Δρ) min=-0.562×10 3 \{e/nm 3\}. It is interesting that one L ligand coordinates to three Ag(Ⅰ) atoms using four N atoms, while another L ligand connects two Ag(Ⅰ) atoms with three of four N atoms and one N atom keeps free of coordination.
